What I want.

Sometimes you don't get what you want. Sometimes people don't pull through the way you want them to. Sometimes you don't get the promotion you think you deserve. Sometimes you don't get the grade you want. Sometimes you don't get the love you want. But sometimes you get what you need.

God doesn't always give us what our heart wants but gives us what we need based on where we are.

There are so many times I didn't get what I wanted. When I didn't get the grade or the job. God knows what we need and he will grant us that. The only way we get what we need is through trusting him. Because God loves us too much to just give us what our hearts desire.

He knows what we need before we do. In His timing, he gives us what we need right when we need it. Not before or after but in the best moment possible. Friends, following God means that you fully trust Him to take over your life and follow his path. Our paths are of sin and destruction but His is good.

In Acts 15: 8, we are reminded about how God knows what is on each of our hearts. It says, "And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us." Through prayer, we can talk on an on to God about our hearts desires. He already knows. Build that relationship with God so that everything can be based on and through love in your life.

My very wise friend told me recently: "God will never disappoint you."

Because the reality is that when we follow him with all of our hearts, he will bless us more than we could ever imagine.
